Green Barry Patterson

Patterson was the Democratic delegate to the 1910 New Mexico Constitutional Convention from Chaves County. During the deliberations, he was offended by a comment made by Albert Fall and he subsequently stormed out of the convention. When the final version of the Constitution was completed, Patterson signed his name and then crossed it out as a protest against the document that the convention had produced.
