Kaytennae

Kaytennae was a Chiricahua Apache who joined with Victorio’s band during campaign to remain free of reservation life in 1879 and 1880. One of those who escaped the battle at Tres Castillos, Kaytennae later married Gouyen, known among the Chiricahua for her wisdom. In the early 1880s Kaytennae joined Geronimo’s band and was among those that the U.S. Army took captive in 1886.
